City Square is the newest Shopping Mall in Tagbilaran City. Located in CPG Avenue, opposite BQ Mall, City Square cannot be missed.

City Square is what I would describe as a Micro Mall. Not as big as the two main malls (ICM & BQ Malls), but way bigger than an arcade. It offers a reasonable shopping experience with a wide range of retail outlets.

The design of the mall takes the form of a large quadrangle. With an entrance on each of the four sides. The Mall sits in the middle of four streets namely, CPG Avenue, B. Inting, E. Jacinto and H. Grupo.

The outer edges of City Square Mall house retail outlets while the inner section has many kiosks and shops.

If you are looking for a coffee or quick snack then City Square has a good selection of food outlets. Dunkin Donuts, Mister Donut, Andoks Chicken, MexiCorner, Sunburst Chicken, Coffee Talk and Buns & Pizza Enterprises.

In common with other smaller Malls, available space is used to the full. You can find yourself fighting your way past popular kiosks as there is not really enough space around them. To be fair its only a problem at peak times and the bottlenecks are often the result of inconsiderate shoppers.

Update 18 Dec 2010: The number of kiosks now crammed in to the lower level of City Square Mall has become a joke. It is far to crowded and no longer an enjoyable shopping experience. It would appear the planning section have no consideration for the comfort or well being of shoppers and have allowed a nice modern mall to become a crowded Bazaar

Those in a wheel chairs will find access to the mall’s ground level easy. Stairs and an escalator lead to the second floor (I have not seen an elevator as yet).

I often have coffee at Dunkin Donuts, City Square. Its generally a more pleasant experience than the hustle  and bustle at BQ and ICM branches.

I asked the Mall Management for some basic information, official opening date, upcoming events, mall directory etc. I was asked to make a formal request in writing. With this duly done, I was given the Oh So Annoying Response from the Admin Office "Thank You Sir, IF EVER". What does "If Ever" mean? Answers on a Postcard Please. I have had no response from the Mall Management.

A thumbs up for the Mallyes but for sure the Management Office could have been a lot more helpful.nono
