Director Barns announces the declaration of the Parish Church of the Holy Cross, Maribojoc, Bohol as National Cultural Treasure

On May 5, 2010, Director Barns made a public declaration of the Parish Church of the Holy Cross, as NCT in Maribojoc, Bohol Province after a pontifical mass honoring the feast of Saint Ferrer. This event was graced by His Excellency Most Reverend Romulo Valles, Archibishop of Zamboanga and member of the Catholic Bishops of the Philippines; Fr. Torralba; and Fr. Warren Abarquez, Priest of the Parish Church of the Holy Cross, Maribojoc, Bohol.

Known as the second NCT of Bohol Province, the complex of the Parish Church of the Holy Cross in Maribojoc, with its church, retablo and other interior furnishings, bell tower, convent, museum, exterior stairway at the back, and side plazas, has one of the highest levels of authenticity in Bohol and indeed in the country.
