Known for centuries to Asian Traders from China, Malaysia and Indonesia. It is said Panglao got its name when Spanish explorers came to the island searching for a source of fresh water, in the early 1800's.
While on the seashore the explorers asked some local fishermen the name of the Island. The question was misunderstood and the fisherman answered “Panggaw” (a fishing device) as this was what they were making at the time. It was assumed they meant the Island was called “Panggaw”. From this the name Pang was born.

Detailed Itinerary
Dauis Church & Miracle Well - One of the most sophisticated church structures in Bohol. Also famous for a natural fresh water well below the church, many believe the water to be "Miraculous". Water is available already bottled for a small donation.
Hinagdanan Cave - Meaning ("laddered" in Cebuano), the cave has a number of stalactites hanging from the sealing, with matching stalagmites sticking out of the cave floor. The cave leads to a large underground cavern, that contains a pond.
Bohol Coco Farm - A new attraction themed around Coconut and Organic Farming. Enjoy the Coco Skywalk and experience a great eco organic experience.
Panglao Church and Watch Tower -Panglao was established as a parish by the Jesuits in 1782. The church, both imposing and awe-inspiring, stands beside the ruins of an older church, probably from Jesuit times. The ruin’s façade indicate that it may have been Baroque in design. This church was ruined before 1886. Panglao Watchtower, is located directly at the shore, and next to the church of Panglao.
Nova Sea Shell Museum - A fabulous private collection of sea shells from Bohol and other parts of the country. Originally just a hobby, the owner established a successful shell business, now exporting sea shells all over the globe. Along with some amazing exhibits, a wide range of gifts and souvenir shells can be purchased from the fantastic shop.
Alona White Sand Beach – Take a walk along the powdery white sandy beach. Perhaps choose to take your lunch or just stop for a coffee at one of the many beach front cafes.
Bohol Bee Farm – Vicky Wallace and her partner have set up the Bohol Bee Farm. A sanctuary hidden from the world. Discreetly located and nestled in lush greens and quiet paths, visitors and guests can commune with nature and relax from stresses and strains of daily life. Bohol Bee Farm is truly a gem. Fresh Honey, produce and ice creams are available for purchase, along with locally made crafts from various localities around Bohol.
Mag-aso Falls Antequera - Is a tourist spot of natural beauty, twin falls around 25 feet in height dominate the site. The rocks at their base eroded over thousands of years, forming a large pool. This truly is a great place to visit and take pictures with the falls as the backdrop. Available on our extended tour package.
